OUR MISSION is to build a new Trust Economy, where we can work together freely without middlemen; where people—not platforms—own their reputation data and their network of contacts; and where the highest relationship is the service relationship between worker and client, not between platform and client.

OUR PRODUCT is a professional community for independent workers, with tens of thousands of freelancers, gig workers and businesses signed up from all over the United States. Jolly helps independent workers (freelancers, gig workers, independent contractors) build their reputation, grow their professional network and find more opportunities to earn. Jolly helps any business or individual easily find and hire reliable independent workers across a wide range of skills. In Jolly’s marketplace, people work together freely without middlemen: we never take a cut, from anyone.

OUR HISTORY: Jolly was founded in 2019 in Austin, TX and our initial website launched in February, 2019. We passed 40,000 user signups on beta site in January, 2020. We completed the Techstars Austin accelerator program in March, 2020, and we launched publicly on Product Hunt on June 15, 2020.

OUR TEAM is comprised of 2 founders (Shelby Stephens and Zach Fragapane) and 20+ independent freelancers. Our founders live in Austin, TX, but Jolly has no central office. The independent freelancers who help build Jolly live around the world, from India to the Philippines to Europe.
